I’ve been hard at work this week setting up the website for our jelly making business. It is not live yet, and I have a lot of work to still do, but it’s coming a long. I am hoping I will get a lot of it knocked out this weekend and we’ll be able to go live on Sunday.
I have been working on this binder for the past week. Scouring the internet for useful printables and making my own when I couldn’t find what I needed. So far it’s been fantastic and so very useful! I’ll be posting more about it on my pinterest blog this weekend!
In an effort to make our lives easier, we are working on making a schedule – so far it’s been semi successful…. insofar that we have breakfast at 7am. But hey, we are working on it. On August 1st we are going to start working the school year schedule so everyone is used to it before school goes back on August 20th. Next to the schedule we have our chore charts. Each lists what chore each child has to do, and they get one ticket per chore. Each ticket is worth .25c that they can use to save towards a trip to the dollar store. There is also a reward card in the baggie – each chore the child does without complaining, they get one hole punched. Once they fill the nine square with holes, they’ve earned their happy meal for the next week.
I LOVE this! I am getting these framed and along with painted salt dough hand prints, this is what my Hubby is getting for Father’s Day this coming weekend. I think I’ll help DD#1 make him some canolli tarts and maybe lasagne. Anyways, I am loving how these pictures turned out! Tomorrow… hand print painting and father’s day card making. Woot!
DD#5 loves playing with the broom… I’ll encourage that!
Yet another pinterest idea… I how it works for us… There are lots of fun things to do. Have to pick up a frisbee or two, some more bubbles and we are good to go! There are some not so fun things in there too: do a chore, do a siblings chore, organize your toys, write your journal (well that one is fun!), you get the idea!
It might not look pretty, but duct tape really does fix practically everything! Yay for my milk not dropping on my toes any longer!
Today, in honor of epilepsy awareness and my friend Kirsten’s wonderful daughter Meg, I am wearing purple.
Epilepsy is not a disease! To read more about it, visit the Talk About It! website and learn all you can!
DD# 2’s nature collection science fair project. Guess I am passing kindergarten?
This weekend DD#2 and I worked on her kindergarten science fair project, which is all about butterflies and some of the countries they come from. We’ve had a good time learning, and have decided that we think the prettiest butterflies live in South America.
